Action Research in Uganda

We are very happy to welcome Zula Namubiru en Robert Jjuuko all the way from Uganda. They will give a guest lecture on the 15th of February from 13.00 – 15.00 on the action research they carried out in Uganda. Robert defended his dissertation on Youth transition, agricultural education and employment in Uganda in November 2021. Zula Namubiru is currently working on her dissertation titled Harnessing Fishers’ Perspectives for Sustainable Conservation of the Natural Fishery Resource on Lake Victoria: A case of Wakiso District Kigungu Fishing ground. Not everyone has the privilege to receive authentic insights from such a geographically and culturally different context than many of us are familiar with. Therefore we’re hoping that you share our excitement at the prospect of learning more about how Robert and Zula conducted their action research there, and the unique challenges and opportunities that it offered.
