I am a PhD student at the Theory & History of Psychology department. My dissertation will be a historical inquiry on the typology of Gerard Heymans, how it was used in society, and what tensions arose in this mixing of theoretical concerns with practical demands.

During my masters, I developed a strong interest in the position of qualitative research within psychology. How this interest was triggered, I explain in this blogpost. I also share a bit about what I found out during my master research here. It was great to see that my views and findings resonated with the Jury of the Jan Brouwer Scriptie Prijs. This was then a big motivation for me to invest more effort into making qualitative research more accessible, by organizing a platform to exchange expertise and meet other qualitative researchers. If this sounds useful, I hope you to see you soon at one of our meetings!
