Field<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>Dr. Thibault Coppe\u00a0<\/b>are developing a BSS faculty wide master course and would love recieve your input. Below is a brief outline of the course, we hope you will bring all your thoughts, concerns and ideas to the session! The presenters will present the plan in more detail during\u00a0the presentation itself, and look forward to receiving\u00a0your\u00a0feedback and suggestions on the plan.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><i>This new course, developed by Thibault Coppe and Sarahanne Field, approaches the goal of supporting master students&#8217; learning about qualitative research methods from theoretical, philosophical, and practical angles. We begin the course with 4 lectures aimed at getting students on the same page. We discuss foundational elements of qualitative methodology, aiming to bridge any knowledge gaps between students and provide a firm basis for the rest of the course. In the following weeks, theoretical information is mixed with practical application as students split into different strands &#8211; case study, grounded theory, ethnography, and non-generative text data.
