There are no restrictions to participation. Anyone who might benefit is invited to reach out, and will be added to the mailing list where the meeting details are announced.

The goal of this network is to facilitate and promote the use of qualitative research methods. We mainly do this by organizing meetings that promote knowledge exchange on qualitative methods and bring people with interests related to qualitative methods together. These meetings vary in shape and scope (e.g. traditional lectures, (panel)discussions, workshops) and are always aimed at promoting interactions between participants and contributors. Examples of topics are:

Projects using qualitative or mixed methods

A specific method and their challenges

Practical aspects (e.g. ethics approval, open science, writing reports)

Workshops on the use of programs or specific methods

Besides these meetings, the QRG made this website to further promote exchange of knowledge and resources by sharing links to interesting resources. In addition, we offer a forum to which questions of general interest can be posted and discussed. We welcome any visitors to have a look, and to reach out to us through the contact form in case you have questions or ideas for this network.

[{"@context":"http://schema.org","@type":"Event","name":"General Session – Panel Discussion with Ethics Committee Board Members","description":"
Panel discussion: ethical approval for qualitative studies Monthly meeting about seeking ethical approval for qualitative studies Wednesday 28 October at 15:00-16:30 in room 2222.0108 (Gadourek building) Link to join the session … Continue reading General Session – Panel Discussion with Ethics Committee Board Members

","url":"https://qrgroningen.nl/?tribe_events=general-session-panel-discussion-with-ethics-committee-board-members","eventAttendanceMode":"https://schema.org/OfflineEventAttendanceMode","eventStatus":"https://schema.org/EventScheduled","startDate":"2026-10-28T15:00:00+01:00","endDate":"2026-10-28T16:30:00+01:00","location":{"@type":"Place","name":"Gadourek Building, room 2222.0108","description":"","url":"","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress"},"telephone":"","sameAs":""},"performer":"Organization"},{"@context":"http://schema.org","@type":"Event","name":"External Event – Qualitative Data Collection with Children and Adolescents","description":"
On November 4th, 10AM-12PM (Amsterdam Time), the Context Network will host a webinar on qualitative data collection with children and adolescents.
