Over half a year ago, the QRG organized a session on insider\/outsider research. The topic led to a nice exchange, and we will revisit this gripping theme in October from a slightly different angle: How to navigate doing \u2018insider\u2019 research with an \u2018outsider\u2019 supervisor. In this session, our speakers will be\u00a0Lely Safrina<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Karra Sulaiman Kurdi<\/b>. Both are from Indonesia, and are doing PhD research into the Indonesian context. Lely and Karra both have Dutch supervisors, and have to navigate cultural differences and tensions in their supervisory relationship. Karra\u2019s supervisor,\u00a0Brenda Bartelink<\/b>, will contribute to this session from the point of view of supervisor. Their unique positioning and experiences will make for an interesting discussion session, where the speakers invite all your comments and questions!
